What the hills and the history do to Corona
Corona sits at the mouth of the Santa Ana River Canyon with the Cleveland National Forest and the Santa Ana Mountains along the west and south. That edge, where houses stop and open hillside starts, is the single biggest thing shaping pest pressure in this city. The second is age: the citrus-boom housing around the Grand Boulevard circle is a century older than the tracts out in south Corona, and the two have completely different problems.
Rodents coming down off the hillsides
If your property backs onto open space, a canyon or the forest edge, you are on the front line. Roof rats travel fence lines and tree limbs and get into attics through gaps you would never spot from the ground. Ground squirrels come in from the slope itself. It gets noticeably worse in autumn, when the hills dry out and everything moves downhill looking for water and food. Trapping buys you time; sealing the entry points is what ends it.
The older homes around Grand Boulevard
Corona was founded in 1886 and the Circle City core still has plenty of housing from the citrus era. Old construction means gaps – foundation vents, original screens, door sweeps that have settled, and decades of utility work punched through the envelope. These houses need a different approach from a twenty-year-old tract home, and it is mostly about exclusion.
Argentine ants and the heat
Corona summers sit in the nineties and regularly go past a hundred. When it gets that hot the ants follow moisture indoors – kitchen sinks, bathrooms, anywhere with a slow drip or condensation. The nest is almost always outside in the landscaping, which is why spraying the trail on your counter never fixes it for more than a few days.
Black widows and spiders
Block walls, side yards, patio covers and anything stored against the house. Hillside properties get more of them, and so do the older homes with more places to hide.
Wasps
Under stucco eaves and inside patio covers, building fast through late spring and summer. This is my most common same-day call and most of them take about twenty minutes.

Final pricing depends on the size of the property, how bad the pressure is, and how easy the problem area is to reach. If it is going to cost more than the starting price, I will tell you before I start, not after.
How the first visit works
Call or text me and describe what you are seeing. I can usually quote on the spot and get out the same day or the next.
When I arrive I walk the property before I treat anything – the perimeter, the side yards, the eaves, and on a hillside lot the back fence line especially. Finding where they are coming in matters more than what I spray. Then I treat, and I tell you what I found and what to expect.
For rodents I come back to check traps. If something is still going on after a treatment, tell me and I will come back out.

Common questions
Which parts of Corona do you cover?
All of it – the Circle City core and downtown, Auburndale, south Corona and the hillside neighbourhoods, and everything out toward the Eastvale and Norco lines.
My house backs onto open space. Does that change things?
It does, and it is worth telling me when you call. Properties on the wildland edge need the perimeter and the back fence line treated differently, and exclusion work matters far more than it does in the middle of a tract.
Is the treatment safe around kids and pets?
Yes, applied properly. I will tell you which areas to stay off and for how long, usually until it is dry. If you have a specific concern, tell me before I start and I will adjust.
Do I have to sign a contract?
No. Monthly and quarterly plans are available because they are the cheapest way to stay ahead of ants, but you can cancel any time and one-time service is always an option.
